• One 2009 Lincoln Penny struck in .992 zinc and .008 copper with a plating of pure copper.

• Coin is the “Birth and Early Childhood” Penny in the 2009 Lincoln commemorative Penny series from the U.S. Mint.

• This coin is in certified Brilliant Uncirculated MS67 condition.

• The coin was struck in Brilliant Uncirculated condition for circulation at the U.S. Mints in Philadelphia and Denver, but no

specific mint mark will be promised.

• The U.S. Mint struck four different Lincoln Pennies in 2009 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth and the 100th anniversary of the first Lincoln Penny.

• Each design was a limited edition that can never be made again.

• Each of the four coins represents a different aspect or theme in the life of Lincoln, and the “Birth and Early Childhood” coin was the first coin in the series.

• This was also the first commemorative Penny in U.S. history, and it was issued for only about three months before the second coin in the series was issued.

• The first coin honors Lincoln’s birth and childhood in Kentucky.

• The reverse design features the log cabin near Hodgenville, Kentucky, where Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809.

• The obverse is the classic portrait of Lincoln by sculptor Victor D. Brenner that has been used on the Penny coin since 1909.

• This coin is certified as one of the highest quality 2009 Lincoln Pennies known to exist.

• Coins are graded on a 70-point scale, with MS60 being standard Brilliant Uncirculated.

• This coin is MS67, or seven full grades better than a regular Brilliant Uncirculated coin.

• The coin is graded and certified by an independent coin grading company.

• The coin is encapsulated in a sonically-sealed holder; the grade is guaranteed as long as the holder remains intact.
